Critical Reading Reflection

           For 15 weeks, I had to learn critical reading with Dr.Usa Noytim. I got much knowledge and practiced reading many texts. I got knowledge about Critical Reading, Fact and Opinion, Finding main idea, The First Grader, Book Review, Movie Review, Advertisement, Editorials, and Article. I also practiced critical thinking, answer question, and write diary in my blog. When I learned this course I’m very happy but sometimes I’m Challenge worry, and nervous too because everything were difficult. However, I got knowledge and happiness in this course because Dr.Usa Noytim is good teacher. She has much knowledge and experience for teaching me. She taught me many things such as Punctuality and Responsibility. She is good teacher and has teaching for me.

                Today I had to learn critical reading with Dr.Usa Noytim, last week of classes. I also learned about reading News Article. I read “Facebook to Share Your Info for Money”. I answered questions about “Facebook to Share Your Info for Money”. Teacher checked homework and told my score.            I enjoyed this class.

                Today I had to learn critical reading. I also learned about Reading Editorials. We read newspaper about “44 hurt after light rail cars collide in San Francisco”. We answered questions about who, what, when, where, why, and result in this story by wrote the sentences on the white board. I practiced to find negative and positive words in the texts. I also read about Another enormous Obama Care ‘Oops’ and answered questions this story in sheet. Nothing was easy. I disliked some new words. I think this lesson is Challenge but I’m nervous and worry too.

                Today I had to learn critical reading with Dr.Usa Noytim. I also learned about reading advertisement and theme of advertisements. I found theme line in advertisement and practiced to think theme line of advertisement. I also practiced to find type of product, brand name, words &phrases with positive connotation, important product features, and target audience. I found that reading advertisements but thinking the theme of the advertisement is difficult. I solved the problem by try to think it many times. I liked to find everything of advertisement but I disliked thinking the theme of advertisement. I think this lesson is interesting and I enjoyed in this class.

                Today I had to learn critical reading. I had a test about critical reading, Fact and Opinion, and Main idea. After that, we review “The First Grader” again and learned about Author’s purpose, Author’s point of view, Author’s tone, and Author’s intended audience on power point. Nothing was easy. I found that this test is difficult. I solved the problem by reading many times and try to do it.I liked test about Fact and Opinion, and Main idea. I disliked new vocabulary. I think this test is important and Challenge for me. I’m worry in this test.

                Today I had to learn critical reading with Dr.Usa Noytim. I reviewed the old topic about “The First Grader”. I and friends wrote the words about “The First Grader” on white board. We discussed this movie with my friends. After that, teacher gave us to discuss about immigration of each countries by 4 people per group. Everything was easy. Nothing was difficult. . I liked movie “The First Grader”. I disliked some new words. I think this lesson is important. It makes me have inspiration in to learn. I’m happy this class.

                Today I had to learn critical reading. She gave me and friends to discuss about “You’re never too old to learn” together. After that, she gave me and friends to watch “The First Grader” and answered questions for next week. Everything was easy. I found that listen the speech of Kenyan is difficult. I solved the problem by intent listening carefully. I liked to watch “The First Grader”. Nothing I disliked. I think this lesson is fun and important. I’m very happy.

                Today I had to learn critical reading with Dr.Usa Noytim but she gave me and friends attend to “The 5 NPRU National Academe Conference Research for sustainable Regional Development toward ASEAN Community” at SU Building. The first, Prof.Dr.nat.Manfred Koch from Germany mentions about Risk of Future Earthquake and Extreme in the world. Second, General Surayuth Julanon mentions about sufficiency economy of our Majesty King Bhumipol Adulyadej.This conference is important in education.

11 July 2013

            Today I had to learn critical reading. I also learned about The Age of Immigration. I practiced to find getting a first idea about the article of The Age of Immigration. I also practiced to match each paragraph with main idea. I answered the questions from The Age of Immigration. I practiced to find the words synonyms and review the words in the Key Vocabulary from the reading. I think getting a first idea about the article is easy. I found that completing the word in the Key Vocabulary is difficult. I solved the problem by try to do it. I liked to find a first idea about the article but I disliked some new vocabulary. I think this lesson is important. I’m worry. 

Diary week 5

Today I learned about living in a multicultural society. I also learned how to find main ideas. Finding main ideas have 5 steps. Step 1 hypothesis formation , form a  hypothesis that the first sentence of the paragraph will be main ideas. Step 2  hypothesis testing, read the next sentence and find information support the first sentence. Step 3  hypothesis confirmation, if can find information to support the first sentence or hypothesis revision,if can't find information to support the first sentence and change a new  hypothesis in this step. Step 4 repetition of cycle, memorize main idea and repeat step 2-4. Step 5 end of paragraph. I practiced to find main ideas from the texts. I also tested about fact and opinion. Nothing was easy. I found to finding main ideas is difficult.  I solved the problems reread the text many time and try to find the answers. I like reading but I don't like to find main ideas and some new words because it's difficult. I think this lesson is important but it make me nervous and unhappy. 

Diary week 4

Today I learned about Facts and Opinions. I also learned how to critical the difference between facts and opinions.I worked in group with my friends. My group have four people for help to discuss about facts or opinions. We read messages and did many exercises. Facts and opinions was easy. I found some questions in the messages were difficult because I couldn't find the answers. I solved the problems reread the messages many time and try to find the answers. I liked to study this lesson and I also liked to work in group with friends. Nothing I disliked it. I think this lesson was funny and easy. I'm happy very much.

Today I learned about sushi. I read the text about popular culture. The content is about American sushi, way of preserving fish and Yohei Hanaya who contribution to sushi. I discussed this text with my friends and answered questions after read the text. I also wrote summary the text. Nothing was easy. I found questions in the text and summary the text difficult because I didn't understand the text. I solved the problems reread the text many time. I liked to discuss but I disliked some new words. I think this lesson was funny. I’m very happy but I’m nervous too

Today is Thursday 13th June 2013. I had to learned critical reading. I also learned about Leonardo da Vinci's painting Mona Lisa. I practiced to thinking about this picture.I also learned about non-critical,critical reading,characteristic features of critical reading,goals of critical reading and critical approach to reading. I also tested a quiz. Nothing was easy but I found that this lesson was quite difficult because it used to thinking and critical very much. I solved the problems try to do it. I liked reading but I disliked some difficult text. I think this lesson was important.I'm nervous and worry very much.

Today on Thursday 6th May 2013, I had to critical reading with Dr.Usa Noytim. She reviewed knowledge about reading skills in 2 years ago. She gave to work 5 people in group for discuss about meaning of critical reading,what we learned in this course and what we have problem in this course.She explained in detail about course syllabus. Nothing was easy and I think critical reading was difficult. I didn't have any problems. I like working in group. I dislike some new word.Final, this course was important in the real-life and very exciting but I'm very worry because this course was difficult.
